The most important part of our team is Blue Coral 03, our boat!
Built on Cam Kim island just outside Hoi An. She is 18m long 4.4m wide and 5.5m high. The maximum capacity is 50 people. She was launched in March 2009 and has a state of the art diesel engine which is very efficient therefore using less fuel to sail to Cham than other boats used. Some 50% more fuel efficient so producing less emissions. We at Blue Coral Diving are very proud of our boat. She's a beauty!!
The Blue Coral Diving Team is made up of PADI professionals.We only employ diving instructors and dive masters with loads of experience and knowledge. This years team is no exception! We hope to provide you with the best possible training and the best days fun diving you can get here in beautiful Hoi An. Blue Coral Diving team is Anglo Vietnamese with some language skills in English, French, German, Italian and Scouse!
The team will do almost anything to keep you happy and enjoying yourself on and off the boat!

Steve, the boss, has been in Hoi An for sometime now. He cut his teeth as a manager of another dive company, Rainbow, and decided to go it on his own. With blood, sweat and tears, Blue Coral Diving was born.
Known to some as the Ginger Panda, Steve has been diving for 25 years and is a MSDT instructor with PADI.

Toi, a Vietnamese dive master has been diving here in Hoi An for 5 years now and has worked with Steve for that time. He also trained at Rainbow Divers and has been lucky enough to dive all over Vietnam! Toi, a father of 1, is a local boy from here in Hoi An. He has enjoyed many nicknames over the years some good some not so good! Jim Hodge, a instructor from Australia, called him the 'Boxing Promoter! Something to do with earning a quid!! Monkeyboy because he is cheeky as a monkey and so many more! Toi is a valued member of the Blue Coral Diving Team and will do everything in his power to make sure you have a great day!!!

Patrick (or Paddy as his friends call him) is a music teacher turned dive instructor. Born and raised in Canada, he has fled the cold northern winters for warmer climates. His first adventure in diving was in 2003 in the warm waters of Hawaii. He has since being diving all over Southeast Asia as well as Egypt and the Caribbean. Trained in Thailand by Rumblefish Adventures, Patrick has a passion for teaching and a severe addiction to diving. His favorite activity is searching out the tiniest and strangest of creatures that live on the worlds reefs. He looks forward to frogfish spotting with you as well as passing on his passion for diving to newcomers

Starting to dive in the Swiss lakes, Vanessa fall in love with immediately but it became even better when she went for the first time diving in the sea. Last year she completed her Dive Master in Vietnam. Not only the diving but also the Cham Island are very important to her, as she did volunteer work for several month on the island in 2010. Therefore she is very happy to be part of the Blue Coral Team 2011 and having the opportunity to improve her knowledge about diving. Blue Coral Divings team for 2010.
Mo's first diving experience was about 5 years ago, immediately she felt as though she was in a different world. Unfortunately she was sidetracked by the rat race in London for some years. About a year and a half ago, after a short visit to Dahab, on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, the feeling of amazement was rekindled. For the last year now she has been diving professionally and still during every dive gets the feeling of wonderment as Mo submerge into another world. Mo looks forward to diving with you here in Hoi An and hope that you fall as deeply in love with diving as she has.
Morwenna or Mo to all, will be a great member of the team this year, blonde, bubbly, beautiful and great fun!

Having worked as a Divemaster in the UK for 2 years, Mike felt like he needed to feel some warm water for once. He decided to leave and started working in Dahab, Red Sea as a PADI IDC Staff Instructor where he taught instructors and all levels of divers. After 3 years, Mike once again got itchy feet and headed over to Asia, working in Koh Lanta, Thailand. Now he is happily diving for Blue Coral Diving in Hoi An and hopes to achieve my PADI Master Instructor rating. Mike is the most experience instructor of the team and he can take on the most demanding of students in his stride! A welcome member of Blue Coral Diving. Come test him out!

Matty Monkeyboy Pye is Blue Coral Diving's first DMT, Dive master in training, and a very welcome member of the team. Matty has been mates with Steve for some 20 years and joins the Blue Coral Diving team for a change of life! Having worked in the hotel industry for most of his working life, diving is a very pleasant change. Once qualified Matty hopes to stay on and work for Blue Coral for a few seasons then head off touring the underwater world! A keen sailor, just done around the world on a yatch with his family, his boat skills will come in very handy aboard Blue Coral #03! Matty's main function on board will be 'brew monkey' for now. A great team player and much fun to be with. Matty is the joker of the team so watch out he may be taking the p#*s!
